eSUN ePA12-CF 1.75mm, Nature, 1kg/spool

Description

ePA12-CF is a material based on PA12 (nylon) developed by eSUN in collaboration with LUVOCOM. It incorporates 15% carbon fiber to improve its robustness, rigidity and toughness. In many cases, it can even replace metal.

Compared to conventional nylon filaments, ePA12-CF has lower water absorption and the dimensions of printed parts are less sensitive to humidity and temperature.

This material is also self-lubricating, resistant to wear and high temperatures. These characteristics make it ideal for printing gears and parts exposed to high temperatures, with continuous use up to 120 °C and short-term up to 160 °C.

With a surface resistivity of less than 102 ?, it can even serve as a conductor and antistatic.

Impression :

ePA12-CF must be dried before printing (about 12 hours at 70 ?) for optimal results. Its high rigidity makes it barely flexible, so avoid excessive stress when feeding the filament as much as possible.

As an abrasive material, it can accelerate wear on the nozzle and extruder gears. It is therefore recommended to use hardened steel or ruby nozzles, and if possible, hardened steel extruder gears.
